How we work

We work in one of two ways, and either one covers the full product lifecycle: strategy and UX design, architecture, development, and release.

Embedded with your team. Our team embeds directly within your existing development organization. We work in your repos, your tooling, and your planning process as an extension of your product and engineering team. You get senior depth without standing up a separate vendor silo.

Start to finish. We own the project end to end: requirements, design, architecture, implementation, release, and handoff to your team or ongoing support. This fits new products, defined deliverables, and inherited codebases that need someone to take ownership, stabilize, and ship.

Engagements give you access to Dirt Path's collective senior expertise and reserved delivery capacity. Specific team members may vary throughout an engagement. Retainers reserve team capacity, not individual personnel assignments, and that capacity is allocated across strategy, design, architecture, and development as priorities shift.

Commercial & civilian

We build and harden commercial SaaS, internal platforms, integrations, and product engineering. We're strongest where AI or automation touches money, records, or customers.

Typical commercial fit:

• Putting LLM features and AI agents into production behind gateways, cost controls, and approval gates
• Hardening scheduled automation that depends on external systems and APIs
• Security review of tenancy, roles, and secrets in multi-tenant applications
• Taking over a codebase that needs stabilizing, tests, and a reliable release process
• New products built start to finish, or senior capacity on an existing product team

Defense & national security

We also bring deep expertise to defense, intelligence, and national-security-adjacent programs. These are teams building systems where an air gap, secure hardware, certification paths, and operational reliability are central to the mission.

Typical defense fit:

• Air-gapped or disconnected software ecosystems
• Integration with secure communications hardware
• On-prem AI gateways and edge architecture
• Type 1 / defense-grade embedded security products

We keep public-facing detail intentionally high level. Program specifics, personnel, and technical depth are for qualified conversations.
